Welcome at Find Your Digital Camera. My name is Jop de Vries, and I am living in The Netherlands.
I have started this blog, because I noticed that it is not easy to buy a digital camera, with so many brands and types of digital cameras to choose from. I am not a professional photographer, but since our last holiday in New-Zealand and the USA, I became more and more interested in photography.
Myself, I own a Canon Powershot S45, which is already five years old. The Canon Powershot S45 is a 4 mega pixel camera with 3x zoom and a lot of extra features.

During our holiday I took many nice pictures with it, but I also noticed that the camera had its limitations. Especially, when you travel through two beautiful countries like New-Zealand and the USA, you like to have a good camera with a powerful zoom and some knowledge about how to adjust the settings of your camera manually (instead of leaving it all the time on AUTO).
So, the first thing I did was reading the manual of the Canon Powershot S45 again. I also started to search the Internet for more knowledge about digital cameras. The more I read about it, the more I became interested in digital cameras and photography. All the bits and pieces of information helped me in deciding what camera to choose.
This blog is about digital cameras and photography. I hope it is helpful for beginners and advanced photographers to find the right digital camera. I think that even professional photographers will find some useful information in this blog.
